House Tours

Lennoxlove House is open to the public from April until October. Guided tours are available on:

Wednesday – 1.30 pm to 4 pm*
Thursday – 1.30 pm to 4 pm*
Sunday – 1.30 pm to 4 pm*

Lennoxlove welcomes both groups and individual visitors who wish to tour and learn about The House. Group tours should book in advance. Tours start every half hour, and hourly during April and October. Occasionally, opening times are changed to accomodate functions. Please telephone 01620 823 720 to check opening times for a particular day.

The House is not open for tours on the following dates in 2008: 3 July, 10 July, 16 July and 4 September.

This historically significant estate, dating back to the 14th Century, contains:


  • Hamilton Palace Art Collection

  • Historical items of interest belonging to Mary Queen of Scots

  • 20th Century Museum – Memorabilia from Rudolph Hess’s flight to Scotland and the 14th Duke of Hamilton’s historic first flight over Mount Everest
