Location & Directions
From the North
Coming from the direction of Aberdeen/ Perth/ Tayside/ Grampian, follow signs for Edinburgh and the A1 to Berwick Upon Tweed.
You will drive over the Forth Road Bridge on to the A8000 and continue to follow the Edinburgh and A1 roadsigns. This route will keep you away from the City traffic and allow you to use the Edinburgh Bypass.
Follow the road in the direction of North Berwick/ Dunbar/ Berwick Upon Tweed and the Haddington junction will become evident after 15 miles or so.
Ignore the first Haddington exit to take the 2nd Haddington exit and follow the road through Haddington until the Gulf Service Station (traffic lights). Proceed straight ahead and continue along the road, taking care as the through-road is quite narrow due to parked cars.
Go over the small bridge and proceed approximately 600 yards along the road and the Gates will have the Lennoxlove opening times displayed. Enter and follow the driveway to the visitor parking area.
From the West
From the Glasgow/ Ayrshire/ Lanarkshire area, use the M8 motorway heading to Edinburgh and the A1. Proceed until the Motorway ends and join the Edinburgh Bypass. Follow the road in the direction of North Berwick/ Dunbar/ Berwick Upon Tweed and the Haddington junction will become evident after 15 miles or so. Continue as above.
From the South
From the Newcastle/ Berwick Upon Tweed/ Eastern England side, Take the first Haddington exit on the A1 and follow the road through Haddington until the Gulf Service Station (traffic lights). Continue as above.
