Lennoxlove Open afternoon on 31 May 2009

We are delighted to give you some further details of the open afternoon to be held here at Lennoxlove House on 31 May 2009.

The House and Gardens will be open from 1pm until 4pm.

Inside the house, a harpist will welcome you in to the Front Hall, from where you can either make your way to the Oak Room to hear Hunter McQueen talk about Robert Burns, and see some of the manuscripts and artefacts on display. 

Upstairs in the Stewart room, our local distillers, Glenkinchie will be hosting a whisky display and a tasting, and the Grants Brae Society will perform the 'Mother of All Burns'  at 2.30pm, in the Great Hall.

Outside, Maximillion will be hosting a Mini Highland Games on the Front Lawn, the marquee will be filled with local craft producers and their stalls, there will be a childrens face painter, and the opportunity to purchase refreshments.

At 3pm, Jim Mctaggart will give us all an air display. and the afternoon will be rounded off with the Haddington Pipe Band.

Entry is, by car, £5.00 per car to the grounds and £2.00 per person to gain entry in to the house. All proceeds will be going directly to Marie Curie and to the Garden Scheme charities.
