Farming on Lennoxlove Estate

Lennoxlove Estate located on the outskirts of Haddington, East Lothian incorporates the surrounding farms of Westfield, Lennoxlove, Begbie, Greenhead and woodlands. The land well in excess of 720 hectares is carefully maintained by our farm management team each year.

We operate and rotate the crops over a five year cycle principally concentrating on cultivating the land for the production of the combinable crops of spring barley, winter barley, wheat and oil seed rape.

Livestock

White Park Cattle.jpg

Our cattle breeds located on the farms consist primarily of Aberdeen Angus and Limousin cross along with our Cadzow White Park cattle. They are the only such herd in Scotland and are like the Dynevor and Chillingham in Wales & England. Its believed they are descendants of the sacrificial cattle of the Druids. They were maintained for centuries in the Hamilton High Parks until 1979 when they were moved to Lennoxlove. We respectively ask all visitors walking through the estate or farm areas not to approach them for everyone’s safety.
